Standard scoring compresses the value of short receptions, so wide receiver tiers are driven by yards, touchdowns and weekly role. DraftCall's current board shows an 8.1 PPG gap from WR1 to WR36—the second major cliff in this league format.

Auction instruction

Do not let a $60 opening bid on an elite name convince you that all WR value is gone. It is often better to buy two Tier 3/4 receivers than one inflated Tier 1 plus replacement-level filler. Standard scoring also makes touchdown variance dangerous: pay for routes and downfield role, but do not pay last year's touchdown rate as if it were guaranteed.
