# TE beer sheet 2026: one island, half an island, and the Kelce $4 problem

Tight end is where auction drafts punish both extremes: overpay for a name and you've bought a WR2's production at a Tier-1's price; punt entirely and you start 4 PPG less than the guy who paid $25 for the right answer. The beer sheet splits the difference. Replacement TE in a 12-teamer is the 12th guy — Jake Ferguson tier, \~6.3 PPG standard. He clears the 12th TE by 4.9 PPG — that's a starting-RB-level gap — and in a standard league his receptions convert at full yardage value. If a TE gets paid like a superstar this season, it's him, and unlike most of the positions on this sheet, the surplus math actually supports it. - \*\*Tier 2, half an island: Tucker Kraft 10.6 ($25–28, on 8 games), George Kittle 9.5 ($20), Brock Bowers 9.3 ($19–20).\*\* The Bowers number is a partial-season 2025; his rookie 2024 was better and the market knows it. Expect to pay $25–35 for him in a live room. The beer sheet says walk away past \~$22 unless you're paying for a ceiling you believe in — that's your judgment call, not the spreadsheet's. - \*\*Tier 3: Goedert 8.3 ($12), Waller 8.1 ($10 — 8-game sample), LaPorta 7.5 ($7), Kincaid 7.3 ($6).\*\* This is the value pocket in \*cheap\* rooms.
